Helen Mellsop Landscape Architect is an experienced landscape consultancy - based in Auckland, but practising throughout New Zealand. We provide a broad range of landscape architecture services for both private and public sector clients - from landscape design to landscape assessment to project management.

As a company we are committed to landscape and design solutions that respond to place and context and are environmentally sustainable. We bring a creative and professional approach to projects of all scales – from small residential developments to broad scale landscape planning assessments.

Our consultancy has trusted associates in related disciplines, and can assemble project teams as needed for multidisciplinary projects.

Over the past 18 years, director Helen Mellsop has established a reputation for reliability, quality and sensitivity to clients’ needs. Helen is a registered NZILA landscape architect with a depth of experience in both consultancy and local government. She has received awards for her design and communication abilities and has served on the Auckland Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects.

Helen holds a Making Good Decisions certificate and is accredited to sit on RMA hearing panels.

Helen has particular skills in landscape assessment and planning and in the design of residential and commercial developments, public open spaces, playgrounds and environmental restoration projects. She has excellent written communication abilities, is well organised and efficient, and has a creative approach to design problem-solving. Some of her personal strengths include an ability to work well with others, a high level of integrity, and a positive attitude.
